Computer Algebra (CAS)
With Math.NET, one of my bigger projects, Some
time ago I started to develop an own computer algebra system without any
theoretical background based on the .NET Platform. The longer Iwork on this
project, the more grows my fascination grows in this area ...
Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
The ETH courses about Signals and Systems and a seminar about programming
digital signal processors have awaken my interests especially but not limited
to the topics of audio and control engineering.
Pattern Classification and Recognition
Based on my work on neural networks I've come across the interesting but all
but trivial problem of pattern recognition. Classification is one of the
central problems in information technology and is needed in lots of situation
(mostly unexpected at first sight).
Neural Network Simulation and Training
There are lots of concepts for linear, synchronous neuronal network training
out there, but up to now I haven't seen any files for differential,
asynchronous networks. I'm trying to develop and implement some of my ideas
about such networks. Beside that, I'm still implementing more common concepts
for the NeuroBox library.
Evolutional Optimisation
Evolutional ideas may be very successful, as we see in the nature. I'll
develop some evolution algorithms especially to train differential neural
networks more efficient. Of course, the library will also be usable for general
parameter optimisation.
Knowledge Management
The management of knowledge, especially for big organisations but also for
single humans, is and was ever a big problem. But not just for humans: I don't
know any application that can store and use (combine, associate, ...)
loads of data in a human way. I've written a concept for solving this gap using
differential neural networks, based on the idea of associating bits of
information together.
